Candle Care
Candle Care Guide
To ensure a clean, even burn and maximize the life of your candle, follow these care instructions:
Choose a Safe Surface
-
Place the candle on a heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials, and out of reach of children and pets.
Trim the Wick
-
Before each burn, trim the wick to 1/4 inch (5mm) using a wick trimmer to prevent excess soot and uneven burning.
Burn Within Sight
-
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Avoid Drafts
-
Keep candles away from drafts, vents, or fans, as they can cause uneven burning and excess soot buildup.
Allow a Full Melt
-
During the first burn, allow the wax to fully melt to the edges of the container to prevent tunneling.
Don't Burn Too Long
-
Limit burn times to no more than 4 hours to prevent overheating and potential damage to the container.
Stop Burning Before the End
-
Discontinue use when about 1/2 inch of wax remains to protect the container and surface.
Extinguishing and Storage
-
Extinguish Safely: Use a candle snuffer or lid instead of blowing out the flame to prevent soot and debris.
-
Store Properly: Keep candles in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat to preserve their scent and prevent melting.
-
Keep Clean: Ensure the wax pool is free of wick trimmings, matches, or other debris.
By following these tips, you’ll enjoy a longer-lasting and safer candle experience!
